EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The U.S. Coast Guard is expected to resume searching off East Providence for a possible boat in distress.
The Coast Guard said it first began searching off the coast of Bullocks Point Sunday night after someone called in a report about a boat that was seen shooting off three flares.
A boat was reportedly spotted on the rocks, but when the Coast Guard responded, no boat was located.
