LOWELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) A bomb threat caused the evacuation of a building in the south section of the UMass Lowell campus on Monday.
The report came in at around 2:30 p.m., according to the Lowell Fire Department.
An alert was sent out to students stating Coburn Hall had been evacuated for inspection after a report of a bomb threat.
The Massachusetts State Police sent their bomb squad and swept the building. The all-clear order was given and classes were expected to resume late Monday afternoon.
The investigation into the threat remains ongoing, a UMass Lowell spokeswoman said.
