Two injured, suspect in custody following Braintree stabbing

Police are investigating after a stabbing in Braintree Saturday night.

Shortly after 9 p.m., police were dispatched to a home on Grove Street for reports of a stabbing.

At the scene, officers found two women fighting each other in front of the house and two men suffering from stab wounds.

"Very quiet neighborhood," Braintree native Ryan Clifford said. "It’s Braintree, you know? Nothing really happens in Braintree."

After learning a possible suspect had run off into the woods, police investigated while the stabbing victims were treated for their injuries, who were later taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

"Shocking, it was very shocking," Marilynn Strauss said.

Police later arrested and charged Jordan Tabbi-Manning, 25, of East Bridgewater, for allegedly stabbing a 50-year-old and a 23-year-old men.

Tabbi-Manning was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault with intent to murder.

Officers also arrested the two women involved in a fight at the scene, Chelsea Taylor, 24, of Holbrook and Jessalyn Price, 23, of Braintree. Taylor is facing charges of disorderly conduct while Price was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

It is still unclear if the other two arrests have any connection to the stabbing.

Strauss said she could hear the police activity Saturday night, all during a unique incident for the neighborhood.

"I heard the helicopter last night, which was really loud and it was hovering in one spot," Strauss said.

Braintree Police are still investigating what could have led to the stabbing.

"It can happen anywhere at any time," Strauss said. "We just do the best we can to look out for each other."
