NEW YORK — President Donald Trump questioned the innocence of the United State in an interview with FOX News's Bill O'Reilly.
O'Reilly was asking Trump about Russian President Vladimir Putin, and said to Trump, "Putin is a killer."
"There are a lot of killers. What do you think our country is so innocent?" Trump replied.
Trump told O'Reilly that he respects Putin, but that doesn't mean they will get along.
"I say it is better to get along with Russia than not. If Russia helps in the fight against ISIS, which is a major fight and Islamic terrorism all over the world, that is a good thing. Will I get along with him, I don't know," said Trump.
O'Reilly also asked Trump about his claim that millions of illegal immigrants voted in the election, even though there are no facts to support that.
"Some people are going to say it's irresponsible for the president to say that. Is there any validity to that?" asked O'Reilly.
"Many people have come out and said I am right," said Trump.
"But you have to have data to back that," asked O'Reilly.
"When you see people who are illegals and they are on the registration rolls. Look bill, we can be babies, but you take a look at the registration, you have illegals. You have dead people. It's a bad situation. It is really bad," said Trump.
The full interview will play during the O'Reilly Factor on FOX25 News before the Super Bowl.
