Fairfax County police believe that Anthony Eugene Robinson, 35, is responsible for the women’s deaths, plus two other women at a different site. Police also believe a woman killed in Washington, D.C., may be a fifth victim, WDVM-TV reported.

Police believe the serial killer used a shopping cart to transport his victims’ bodies after meeting them on dating sites, the television station reported.

The victims identified Friday through DNA evidence were Cheyenne Brown, 29, who disappeared from Washington on Sept. 30; and Stephanie Harrison, 48, WRC-TV reported. Both women were found in a container in a wooded area near the Moon Inn Hotel in Alexandria, just south of the Capital Beltway, the television station reported.

In November, two women were found dead in Harrisonburg, Virginia: Beth Redmon, 54, of Harrisonburg; and Tonita Smith, 39, of Charlottesville, WHSV-TV reported.

A possible fifth victim has been identified in the Washington area, according to The Associated Press. The woman was found dead in a shopping cart, covered only by a blanket, WDVM reported.

“These are horrible tragedies. Cheyenne Brown and Stephanie Harrison were amazing women,” Ed O’Carroll, commander of Major Crimes, Cyber and Forensics Bureau said during a news conference. “They did nothing wrong.”

Robinson is currently being held in Rockingham-Harrisonburg Regional Jail on two counts of murder and two counts of felony disposal of human remains, WHSV reported.

“This case is not about shopping carts. It’s about a serial killer who took the lives of innocent women,” O’Carroll said. “We know a lot, but we need your help to build a strong accurate and detailed case against Robinson.”
