GASTONIA, N.C. — Six people, including two police officers, are recovering from injuries after gunfire erupted overnight at a North Carolina nightclub, authorities said.
According to WSOC-TV, the shooting occurred about 11 p.m. Thursday at Remedies nightclub in Gastonia. The six victims' injuries were not believed to be serious, officials told the news outlet.

Gastonia police arrested Alonzo Lewis Hamilton and Allen Slaughter in connection with the incident, WSOC reported. Each suspect is facing six counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon, according to the news outlet.
The wounded officers, identified as Sgt. E. Nelson and M. Lewis, “were working off-duty” at the club when the shooting occurred, the Police Department said in a news release. They were in the hospital Friday morning, WSOC reported.
