Nashville explosion: Bomber sent packages to acquaintances across the country, FBI says

Anthony Warner sent materials with his views to acquaintances across the country before he drove a recreational vehicle into downtown Nashville and exploded a bomb Christmas morning, investigators said.

“(Investigators are) aware the suspect sent materials which espoused his viewpoints to several acquaintances throughout the country,” FBI Special Agent Jason Pack told The Association Press.

Additional details about the packages were not released. Pack urged anyone else who might have received one to call investigators.

Warner, who authorities said was responsible for the explosion Dec. 25, died in the blast. Three other people were injured and telecommunications to parts of the Southeast were knocked out in the explosion that devastated nearly a city block in a historic area of the city. Investigators have not determined a motive.
