Miller, 30, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of unlawful trespass and will not have to serve time in jail, according to VTDigger. Miller, who will star in “The Flash” when it opens in theaters this summer, was originally accused of breaking into the home and stealing several bottles of alcohol from their pantry, Variety reported.

Miller agreed to 41 conditions, according to the entertainment news website. They include no drinking, random drug tests and a commitment to continue seeking mental health treatment, according to the entertainment news website.

Two other charges were dropped, including a felony burglary count that could have carried a sentence of 25 years in prison, according to The Associated Press. Vermont Superior Court Judge Kerry Ann McDonald-Cady told Miller the felony charge could be refiled if the terms of probation are violated.

Miller’s attorney, Lisa Shelkrot, released a statement on her client’s behalf after the hearing, VTDigger reported.

“Ezra Miller pled guilty this morning to a misdemeanor unlawful trespass in Vermont Superior Court and accepted the conditions imposed by the court,” the statement said. “Ezra would like to thank the court and the community for their trust and patience throughout this process and would once again like to acknowledge the love and support they have received from their family and friends, who continue to be a vital presence in their ongoing mental health.”

Bennington County Deputy State’s Attorney Alexander Burke told the judge that the homeowner of the residence Miller was accused of breaking into supported the plea deal, VTDigger reported.

The plea deal also protects the homeowner’s privacy by not having to go to trial, Burke added.

The homeowner said he had been friends with Miller for about 18 years, the AP reported. The actor was arrested two times in Hawaii in 2022, including for a charge of disorderly conduct and harassment at a karaoke bar, the news outlet reported. Miller was charged with second-degree assault in the second incident, Variety reported.

“The Flash” is set to open in theaters on June 16.
