NEW YORK CITY — For just $25 – plus taxes and fees – you could spend one unadulterated night in New York City’s iconic FAO Schwarz.
The famed toy store is being listed on Airbnb for a one-time, one-night-only tour and sleepover, chaperoned by a real FAO Schwarz toy soldier, WCBS reported.

“Though the holidays may look a little different this year, this overnight experience will bring joy and cheer at a time when it’s needed most,” the companies stated in a joint press release. “With toys in every corner, from plush teddy bears to race cars and dreamy spaces to rest your head, guests will experience the store in a whole new light.”
According to WABC, the rental will be available to book Dec. 21 for one New York City family of four all living under the same roof, and their toy solider tour guide will walk them through the entire two-story, 20,000-square-foot wonderland.

The once-in-a-lifetime booking also includes a sugar-infused dining experience at FAO Schweetz, a “music lesson on the store’s gigantic dance-on piano, immortalized by Tom Hanks in the movie “Big,” a Build-A-Bear workshop session, an immersive science experiment and a chance to build a remote-controlled car that can then be raced through the halls of the store,” WCBS reported.

The family will also be treated to a shopping spree, courtesy of Airbnb, according to WABC.
Those who request to book the space must prove New York City residency and currently live in the same household to minimize risk, the companies stated.
Booking requests open at noon EST on Dec. 15 at airbnb.com/happyholidays.
