According to Carolyn Fennell, director of public affairs at Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, a Diamond DA-42 aircraft was preparing for takeoff on a runway during unfavorable weather. The plane’s takeoff was delayed during the severe weather, and the aircraft, which had two people onboard, flipped while awaiting clearance.
Officials said a gust of wind caused the aircraft to flip.
The other aircraft was unoccupied, WFTV reported.
