Law student demands Nestle provide her lifetime supply of Kit Kats

Kit Kat candy bars are known for having crisp wafers surrounded by sweet milk chocolate.

So one British student was shocked and upset when she bit into a Kit Kat bar to find that there were no wafers -- only chocolate.

Saima Ahmad, a second year law student at King’s College London, said she suffered "monetary and emotional" loss after buying an eight-pack of Kit Kats that were missing the crunch.
"Clearly, if I wanted to purchase a confectionery item that is purely chocolate, I would have purchased (another candy)," she said.
Now, she wants Nestle to give her a lifetime supply of the candy as compensation -- or she'll take legal action.
"I wouldn't rule out taking this further if Nestle (does) not apologize or compensate me adequately," Ahmad wrote, according to ITV.
The news organization reported that she served the company a letter quoting case law from the 1930s to support her demand.
"They go about advertising the unique concept of KitKat, but I'm so disappointed by what I have purchased," the 20-year-old said.
Ahmad admitted she is "trying her luck," and said, "If you don't ask, you don't get."
According to ITV, a part of her letter to Nestle reads as follows:

"The truth of the matter is; manufacturers owe a duty of care to consumers.

The specific duty you owe in consistency in your manufacturing process. The failure to take due care in the manufacturing process resulted in a product being defective.

As a result I feel as though I have been misled to part with my money and purchase a product that is clearly different from what has been marketed by Nestle.

The loss I have suffered is of monetary and emotional significance."

Nestle has yet to comment on the issue, but the company previously wrote on Facebook that they "try to reject the solid bars but, very occasionally, one or two will slip through" during the candy making process.
