Three dead, one suffers life-threatening injuries in Hampton Falls crash

Three New Hampshire natives died and a fourth suffered life-threatening injuries after a single-car crash in Hampton Falls.

New Hampshire State Police troopers responded to the crash around 11:40 a.m. on Sunday in the area of Applecrest Farms.

An initial investigation shows the car was heading west on Route 88 when it failed to turn through a curve and left the roadway, hitting multiple trees.

Police say the crash happened Saturday night as early as 6:30 p.m., but went unreported since the car was hidden from the view of passing traffic.

The driver, 21-year-old Exeter native Jacob Raymond, along with two passengers, identified as 18-year-old Exeter native Sarah Frost and 22-year-old Seabrook native Stephen Hansen, died in the crash.

The third passenger, 19-year-old Manchester native Daniel Petruzzelli, was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for life-threatening injuries.

Police say excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash, but the incident remains under investigation.
