Terminally ill country singer tells husband what to do when she's gone

Joey Feek will never stop worrying about the well being of her family.

The country singer is coping with a terminal diagnosis after a long battle with cancer. She and her husband, Rory Feek, made the difficult decision to enter hospice care in late 2015 after doctors told her there was nothing more they could do.

The couple, known as Joey+Rory to their fans, has a 23-month-old daughter, Indiana, who has Down syndrome.

Joey is now thinking about Rory and Indiana's life after she's gone.

He told People that he's been taking notes from her on when to plant the garden in the spring, how to prune the fruit trees, and how much to set aside for a monthly tithe.

Joey has been spending her final days in Alexandria, Indiana, surrounded by friends, family and loved ones.

"Though the situation and conditions that brought us here are very difficult, it has been a really beautiful time for Joey and all of us," Rory told People. "Not hardly an hour of the day goes by without someone telling someone else that they love them. It's hard to ask for more than that."
