BILLERICA, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Billerica are investigating a teen who was shot Friday morning at his home.
Neighbors said the teen was home with his two brothers just before noon when he was shot.
"They are the nicest bunch of kids. Very helpful, help all the neighbors shoveling in the winter time," one neighbor said.
Police said it appears the shooting was accidental, but a gun was the gun was taken into evidence for the investigation.
"This appears to have been an incident which occurred among a group of juvenile friends using BB guns and a pellet gun," Billerica Deputy Police Chief Roy Frost said.
The boy was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition.
