Target out thousands after blow torch break-in

EASTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are searching for two suspects who broke into the Easton Target over the weekend using a blow torch and stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

The two thieves, dressed in all black, broke into Target and stole Apple products overnight Friday, according to the

. They cut a hole in a metal garage door in the back loading area on Robert Drive. They used an acetylene torch to get into the building and took 80 iPhones and iPads.

"This is the first time that I can recall in our area that somebody's done this type of crime," an officer told the Enterprise.

An employee of the store reported the break-in at about 6 a.m. Saturday. No arrests had been made as of Sunday.

The investigation into the break-in remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Easton police at 508-230-3322.
