A new study says most vitamin and mineral supplements have little to no health benefit.
According to researchers at the University of Toronto, most multivitamins and other supplements do not lessen a person's risks for heart disease, stroke or premature death.
The study found the only pills to be beneficial were folic acid and B-vitamins.
It also found taking Niacin and antioxidants when they are not needed might increase the risk of premature death.
Researchers say the results show there is no substitute for healthy eating.
