SEABROOK, N.H. - A middle school student in Seabrook, New Hampshire has been disciplined for making threatening comments to other students, according to a letter sent home to parents.
School administrators said they were made aware of the situation Friday afternoon. They handled the matter according to school policy based on the information they had at the time.
The investigation continued through the weekend and into Monday morning, when administrators learned more about what was actually said. As a result, disciplinary steps were taken.
“We worked collaboratively with our School Resource Office, the Seabrook Police Department and the Superintendent’s office to address the situation and ensure the safety of our students and staff, while addressing the individual needs of all of our students and families,” the letter read.
Administrators said they don’t believe the safety of their students and staff was ever in any jeopardy.
