BOSTON – Sam Adams is now the official beer of the Boston Red Sox, replacing Budweiser.
The announcement was made Tuesday morning on the Sam Adams website.

In addition to main stays like Boston Lager and Summer Ale, Sam Adams will be featuring other brews on tap in the stadium.

“This upcoming season, visitors to the amazing, iconic ballpark, the oldest major league park in the world, will be able to enjoy a fresh Sam Adams, and when they look up to the right field stands they’re going to see a beautiful news Sam Adams sign,” Sam Adams owner Jim Koch said in an announcement video.

Sam Adams was founded in Boston in the 80s, and still has a brewery in Jamaica Plain in addition to several other breweries across the country.
