BOSTON — Traffic on I-93 South was backed up all the way to Wilmington Thursday morning after a crash involving a car and a school bus.
The crash happened around 6:00 a.m. in the O'Neill Tunnel. No children were on the bus, and neither driver was injured.
"It didn't even faze me. I was perfectly fine, I was glad the other guy was fine and nobody was hurt, and that was it,” Thomas Wells, the driver of the car involved, said.

Wells, 52, of Saugus, was cited by Massachusetts State Police for causing the crash. He told FOX25 that he works long hours at his construction job and fell asleep behind the wheel.
"I wasn't like snoring or anything, I just shut my eyes for a second, I guess, and drifted over," he said. "Maybe I didn't sleep that well last night, I don't know...I will tell you what, I'm 52 years old, and that's the first accident I've had since I was 18."
Surveillance video shows Wells' car drift out of his lane and clip the rear end of a Boston Public Schools bus. The bus was turned sideways and crashed into the tunnel wall without hitting any other cars.
The driver of the bus was identified as a 60-year-old Randolph man.
All of the southbound lanes were blocked directly after the accident, but reopened around 6:30 a.m. Delays from the crash lingered for several hours though.
