TAUNTON, Mass. — A puppy was abandoned near a local dump after being pushed out of a minivan. Now, she's recovering after spending days wandering and looking for her home.
Animal Control told Boston 25 News that this is the third time in less than six months that a beagle has been found abandoned in Taunton.
The 1-year-old beagle was pushed out of vehicle late last week near the Taunton dump.
Raynham Assistant Animal Control Officer Linda Brackett says the pup then spent the next three days running back and forth between Taunton and Raynham - likely trying to find her way home - before she was eventually captured.
Isn’t she adorable?

"She was scared to death," said Brackett.
Beagles are hunting dogs and last fall they rescued two abandoned beagles. Neither was ever claimed.
"With hunters, what I'm hearing, I don't know, if beagles aren't good hunters, they'll just abandon them," said Brackett.
Brackett says someone said they saw the dog being pushed out of a black minivan, but did not get a license plate.
This little girl has not been given a name, but she's getting a lot of love at the Taunton Animal Shelter.
"She's absolutely amazing, still a little shy," said Manuel Massa, Taunton Animal Control Officer.
Animal Control says if you're feeling overwhelmed with an animal, call them.
As for the little beagle, she will spend another week at the shelter getting updated on her shots before she is put up for adoption.
