EVERETT, Mass. — Alumni of Pope John XXIII High School came together Monday night for the 'Not Dead Yet Donor Challenge.'
Boston 25 News reported last week when the Everett private school kicked off a fundraising campaign to keep the school open.
Staff says a company that brings in international students hasn't paid the school for a year and now they're out of money.
The community is still hopeful, having already raised more than $50,000.
The school is now trying to raise awareness in Everett with local businesses.
The Archdiocese set a deadline of May 23 for the school to raise a minimum of $1 million.
