Police searching for suspect after Thursday night shooting in Revere

REVERE, Mass. — One person is in custody and another is on the run after a shooting Thursday in Revere that left one person critically injured, according to officials.

The shooting on Dehon Street happened around 7:15 p.m. when police say a single shot was fired during an argument among seven or eight people.

State Police said the victim was found on nearby Shirley Avenue and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

One suspect, believed to be an accomplice, has been arrested, according to police, and another is still being sought. A Revere Police SWAT team searched a building on Dehon Street where they thought the second suspect might be, but the building was unoccupied, David Procopio, a State Police spokesperson said.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
