IPSWICH, Mass. – A suspicious incident is being investigated after the occupants of a minivan drove near two kids riding bikes in Ipswich.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday near Ipswich High School.
Witnesses described the occupants of the minivan as elderly, and said they had the door open as they approached the kids.
When the people in the minivan noticed the parents of the children nearby they drove away.
No license plate was provided, but surveillance video from a business in the area shows the van as described. Witnesses said there was a tire tied onto the roof.
Ipswich Police are actively investigating, and anyone who has witnessed a similar incident or is familiar with the van is asked to contact the department at 978-356-4343.
