Worcester PD: 21-year-old crashed into concrete wall under gunfire

WORCESTER, Mass. — Two people were found injured inside a car riddled with bullet holes after it crashed into a concrete wall outside of Worcester Academy Sunday night.

Both the 21-year-old female driver and the 23-year-old male passenger were injured in the car.

The pair were rushed to the hospital with broken bones and cuts, but neither was shot.

According to police, a car pulled up behind them and starting shooting at the back of the car. The driver told police she sped up to get away from them before losing control and hitting the wall at the intersection of Providence and Patterson streets.

Police said they have little information about the suspects or the vehicle in question.

The crashed car had "numerous bullet holes." A parked car nearby also had bullet holes in it.
