Plympton man suffers gunshot wound in hunting accident

PLYMPTON — A 25-year-old Plympton man is recovering after being shot Friday while hunting with several others.

Plympton Police and Fire responded around 4 p.m. in the area of 153 Center Street where they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.

Officials said that several people had provided critical care to him until EMS arrived. He was brought to South Shore Hospital for treatment.

Police said from its initial investigation that this is a hunting accident.
