BOSTON — A pharmacist tied to the 2012 deadly meningitis outbreak at the New England Compounding Center has been sentenced to prison.

Glen Chin was sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison on Wednesday.

He was originally sentenced to eight years in 2018, but last year an appeals court vacated his sentence after finding the court failed to impose sentencing enhancements.
Nearly 800 people were sickened and 64 people died nationwide as a result of the meningitis outbreak tied to the Framingham center.
