AMESBURY, Mass. — An adult male pedestrian was struck and killed Monday night in Amesbury, according to the city's police department. The crash occurred on Route 110 in Amesbury near the on-ramp to I-495.
Police describe the victim as an adult male in his 60s, but have yet to release his identity because they have not been able to notify the victim's next of kin.

After the crash, Amesbury Police closed Route 110 (Macy Street) between the I-495 on-ramp and the intersection of Macy Street and Main Street. The Massachusetts State Police sent their accident reconstruction team and crime scene services to assist Amesbury PD in the ensuing investigation.
