RAYNHAM, Mass. — One day after an empty gun shell casing was found inside the gym at Raynham Middle School, police said there is no threat to the school.
Raynham Police searched the school Wednesday afternoon after the shell casing was found.
It was reported around 2:00 - and out of caution, after-school activities were canceled.
K9's searched the school Wednesday night and did not find anything suspicious.
Police said school would begin on time Thursday, and all after school activities will take place as scheduled.
There will be an increased presence of uniformed officers at school Thursday, "out of an abundance of caution," police said.
The investigation is still ongoing - no suspects have been identified at this time.
