NH Police: $50k worth of heroin seized

LEBANON, N.H. — Police seized a large amount of heroin at a motel in Lebanon Thursday.

Police had learned that a father and son were staying at the Baymont Inn and were possibly in possession of heroin and marijuana. Officers searched the room and found 1.6 ounces of marijuana, said police. They later discovered more than 2,500 individually wrapped bags of heroin with a street value of more than $50,000.

Dylan Avery, 18, of Barre, Vermont was charged with controlled drug acts prohibited and controlled drug acts prohibited with intent to distribute. Thomas Avery, 37, was charged with controlled drug acts prohibited.
