PORTSMOUTH, NH — Fire crews made a heroic rescue on Thursday after a State Street home caught fire.
Crews quickly extinguished the flames and were able to get three dogs safely out of the house..
No one was injured.
The damage was contained to the first floor. The fire was under control within 15 minutes.
Portsmouth fire crews were assisted by Kittery, Newington and Exeter.
