NANTUCKET, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are searching for a man who reportedly entered a woman's home and sexually assaulted her early Sunday morning.
The sexual assault took place at around 1 a.m. Sunday inside a home on Roberts Lane. The victim reported it to police at around 4 a.m., saying that an unknown man entered her home and "sexually assaulted her with force."
The victim described her assailant as a black male, between 5 feet, 9 inches and 6 feet, 1 inch, with a medium build.
Nantucket police are encouraging residents to lock their windows and doors at night, and to pull shades in living areas. Anyone who has heard any suspicious noises or noticed any unusual activity within the last month is asked to contact police immediately.
