VERNON, N.J. — Looking for some summer fun, thrill-seekers? Soon you may be able to cool off with a ride on the world's longest inflatable water slide.
, the slide – created by New Zealand resident Jim Hunt, founder of charity group
– recently made its way to
in Vernon, New Jersey. It consists of 20 100-foot sections that weigh about 600 pounds each.
Guinness confirmed Friday that the slide is the world's longest.
Psyched? Well, don't plan your trip to Jersey just yet. A park spokeswoman said the state still needs to approve the slide before the public can try it out. But test rides by employees were "successful," the park said.
