METHUEN, Mass. — Police say they've apprehended a Dracut man who was being sought after one person was shot and critically injured at a McDonald's in Methuen.
The 29-year-old suspect, Rodney Villar, was arrested in Dracut shortly before 11 p.m. Friday. He was wanted by police for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a firearm, and assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to commit murder.

The shooting occurred at a McDonald's on Haverhill Street in Methuen on Friday night. Police say the shooting was not random.
Two children who were nearby when the shooting occurred were not injured, police said.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the abdomen and flown to a Boston hospital, police said. He was in critical condition Friday night.
