GARDNER, Mass. — Gardner police arrested a man after they say he set his estranged wife's cars on fire.
The man went into his wife's home with a gun and set two cars on fire in the driveway, according to police. He was arrested on scene.

According to police, officers arrived on scene and found one car on fire and said they heard possible gunshots coming from inside the house. Police asked people to leave the area and eventually persuaded the suspect to surrender himself.
It's unclear if the 49-year-old man attacked the woman or threatened her with the gun, but police say no one was injured.

Officers say when they arrived on scene, the woman already safely out of the home.
