HINGHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly upskirting women at the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Hingham.
Police say the upskirting incident happened at the bookstore in late August. A woman told the store manager that a man standing near her put a phone under her skirt and took a photo. The manager called police, but the man left before officer's arrived.
After an investigation, police obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect and UMass Amherst Police were able to arrest him Sept. 12.
Andrew J. Gavin, 23, of Randolph was arraigned on charges of photographing sexual or intimate parts without consent and accosting or annoying person of the opposite sex.
A judge ordered his bail revoked on two open cases out of Wrentham District Court and Dedham District Court for the same charges. His bail was set at $1,000 cash and if released he was prohibited from going to the Derby Street Shoppes, where the Barnes & Noble is located.
He is due back in court on Oct. 9.
