LONDONDERRY, N.H. — A Londonderry man is accused of killing a worker who came to service on his heating system before turning the gun on himself.
City Fuel employee Daniel Rabideau, 59, went to Richard Verville’s home on Tuesday to service Verville’s heating system, police said. As Rabideau was working on the heating system, Verville, 69, shot him once in the head.
Vercille then turned the gun on himself, shooting himself once in the head. He died Wednesday at a Boston area hospital.
Verville was apparently suffering from significant mental health issues at the time of the incident, police told FOX25.

'AN INTENDED MURDER SUICIDE'
Police and SWAT teams spent most of Tuesday afternoon at the Currier Drive home. At one point, police thought they saw explosives and sent in a robot, but ultimately didn't find anything.
"It looks like it was an intended murder suicide,” Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Strelzin said.
VICTIM'S WIFE SPEAKS TO FOX25
Rabideau's wife, Carole was at the Londonderry home Wednesday and told FOX25 that she had to go in order to cope with what happened.
"This was the last place he was," Carole said. "I needed to somehow make it real for myself."
NEIGHBORS NOTICE 'STRANGE' BEHAVIOR
Neighbors said Verville moved to the Londonderry home in 2012 and has since had problems with several people who live in the area. They also say his property had no trespassing signs and a home surveillance system.
"He left a strange letter in our mailbox when he moved in and you could tell by reading it he was a bit off,” a neighbor said.
FOX25 was told the letter included Verville's life story and government conspiracy theories.
Neighbors said they had seen a City Fuel van at the home several times recently, but it's unclear if Verville and Rabideau knew each other.
