BOSTON — Moms will get in free at two Massachusetts zoos on Mother’s Day.
Zoo New England is offering free admission to moms at the Stone Zoo in Stoneham and the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Both zoos have exhibits featuring mothers of the animal kingdom. At the Franklin Park Zoo, visitors can meet the western lowland gorilla, pygmy hippo, Baird’s tapir and De Brazza’s monkey families in Gorilla Grove, a new outdoor gorilla exhibit, and the Tropical Forest.
The Stone Zoo’s exhibits include white-cheeked gibbon Iggy and her family, as well as reindeer mom Holly and her offspring Aiofe.
No tickets are needed for Mom. Advance online tickets are required for the rest of the family, and may be purchased here.
