BROCKTON, Mass. — A woman was shot in the head early Monday morning as she sat in her car in the parking lot of a Taco Bell in Brockton, authorities say.
The 27-year-old woman was found around 1:15 a.m. in the parking lot of Taco Bell on Belmont Street with a gunshot wound to her head, police said in a statement. She was transported with injuries described as non-life-threatening to a local hospital.
Brockton police said they believe the woman was parked and sitting in the driver’s seat of her car when she was shot. Another nearby car was also struck.
Investigators are checking surveillance footage and are asking anyone with information to contact Brockton police detectives at 508-941-0234.
