MAINE — The winner of Maine’s $1.35 billion Mega Millions jackpot has come forward to claim their prize.

The winner, whose name was not released, opted for the cash option- a $723,564,144 windfall before taxes, according to the Maine State Lottery.

The new multi-millionaire is “thoughtfully considering the next uses of the life-changing prize,” the Maine State Lottery added.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Hometown Gas & Grill in Lebanon, Maine on January 13. The store received a $50,000 bonus for selling the billion-dollar ticket.

“There’s quite a buzz at our small-town gas station this morning, I’ll tell you that,” store owner Fred Cotreau told the Associated Press in January. “Hopefully one of the residents and one of the regular customers is the winner. It’s exciting to have sold it but it’s just more exciting for a single winner and I’m just really hoping it’s somebody here in town.”
