Wellness Wednesday: Tick bites can lead to red meat allergy

A meat allergy caused by tick spit is getting more common in the U.S., according to the CDC.

Doctor Tim Sellati, Chief Scientific Officer for the Global Lyme Alliance is sharing some of the symptoms to look out for.

Unfortunately, there is no treatment, but Dr. Sellati says the Global Lyme Alliance is working to cure Lyme and other tick bourne illness through research.

Boston Children’s Hospital and Tufts are participating in two local projects as well.
