Video captures large basking shark off of the South Shore

SCITUATE, Mass. — A large shark was sighted off the coast of the South Shore on Tuesday.

Video sent to Boston 25 News from Humarock in Scituate shows a massive basking shark swimming by the shoreline.

Basking sharks are not dangerous to humans and despite growing up to 40 feet long, they’re slow-moving and docile.
