Two police officers injured in car chase that ends in Medford

MEDFORD, Mass — Two police officers were injured in a chase that ended in Medford Sunday evening.

The chase ended at the intersection of Auburn and North Streets, according to a Boston Police spokesperson.

Viewer video sent to Boston 25 News captured the end of the arrest around 6:30 p.m. The suspect can be seen on the ground as a handful of officers take him into custody.

“Eight cop cars were coming down West Street, there was a helicopter in the air swarming around, there was an ambulance, a fire truck,” said neighbor Chris Berg. “I’ve honestly never seen anything this crazy going on, I’ve definitely heard stories about something like this going on, I’ve never seen it in person.”

Medford police say the chase began in Boston.

It is still unclear why Boston Police were arresting this suspect.

The two injured officers have non-life-threatening injuries.
