Things to do in the Massachusetts area this weekend

Mass. — The weekend is here! And if you’re looking for something to do, Boston 25 has a few suggestions for you.

ScooperBowl

It’s time for my favorite event of the year. If you love ice cream, and you love eating it for a good cause, come on over to Patriot Place in Foxboro for the Jimmy Fund Scooperbowl! For the 40th year, you can eat all the ice cream you can handle and enjoy live entertainment. Proceeds will benefit Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The festival is open on Friday and Saturday, but you should check for hours and ticket information.

Dorchester Day Parade

It’s the first Sunday of June, and that means a celebration in Boston’s largest neighborhood! The annual Dorchester Day Parade begins at 1 p.m. in Lower Mills at the corner of Washington Street and Dorchester Avenue and travels to Savin Hill. The route is just over three miles long.

Salem Arts Festival

Sticking with the arts, Salem is celebrating the arts in all forms at the Salem Arts Festival this weekend. From Friday through Sunday, you can head to downtown Salem for this free event celebrating local creators and showcasing their talents. For more information, visit the link here.

Wherever you go this weekend, have fun!
