Stoneham 6th grader living with life-threatening heart condition has Star Wars dreams come true

STONEHAM — The magical dream of a Stoneham 6th grader is no longer far, far away.

Callum Lemanski, who lives with a life-threatening heart condition, is headed to Disney World after the Make-A-Wish Foundation surprised him in a ceremony worthy of the Rebel Alliance.

As John Williams’ iconic score blared through the gym’s loudspeakers and his classmates went wild, Callum met with foundation members dressed as Jedi, Wookies and Imperial Stormtroopers who gave him the out-of-this-world news.

“I was just amazed. I had no idea this is what it was,” said Callum.

Callum was also given his very own lightsaber.

“This is what we love doing more than anything in the world,” said one “Jedi.”

Tatoinne may be located in the galaxy’s Outer Rim, but Callum has never been closed to his dreams.

“I just can’t wait to get there,” said Callum.
