Firefighters in Southbridge rescued a woman who fell approximately 50 feet down an embankment on Monday night.
Fire officials say the woman tumbled down a steep embankment on Crane Street around 7:20 p.m.
Officials say the steep terrain made it difficult to reach the woman.
The Fire Department shared photos that show crews with ropes working to reach the woman.
The woman was eventually lifted out of the embankment around 8:40 p.m.
The woman was taken to UMass Memorial Health to be evaluated.
