Shuttle van and Jeep crash at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester

WORCESTER — Eleven people were hurt after a serious crash outside UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester Wednesday morning.

The crash between a shuttle van and a Jeep happened just before 7 a.m.

UMass Memorial Health Care says eight of the victims were employees. They were on their way to the medical campus from the employee parking lot when the crash happened.

One person was ejected from one of the vehicles during the crash, according to Worcester Police.

All of the injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

The Crash Reconstruction Team closed the North Road entrance of UMass Memorial Medical Center off of Plantation Street while they investigated the crash.

It is now reopened.
