Serious injuries reported after MBTA Commuter Rail Train struck person in Concord

Serious injuries are being reported after a person was struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail Train in Concord, Mass. Wednesday morning.

Concord Police and Fire responded to the area of Commonwealth Ave. crossing around 10:30 a.m. due to the crash.

Police said an adult man intentionally entered into the right away as the MBTA train was approaching. Due to serious injuries, he was transported to a local area hospital for care.

Officials are urging motorists to avoid the area.
