BOSTON — Nice job, Boston parents.
Beantown outranks several other cities nationwide for kind kids, with average rudeness scores well below the national average, according to a new survey.
The survey asked over 1,400 Americans in 28 cities about rude kids in their city as well as the most common rude behaviors by age group.
Philadelphia, San Francisco, and New York City are the U.S. cities with the rudest kids, according to their own residents. Boston ranked 22nd out of 28 cities surveyed for having the rudest kids.
Being absorbed in their phone, cursing, and playing music or videos too loud are the rudest behaviors among kids, the survey found.
Boston kids were least likely to throw a fit and be gross and unhygienic, the survey found.
Nationwide, kids are most rude to their parents (49%), followed by peers (28%) and strangers (23%), the survey found.
