NEWTON, Mass. — Newton Police were called to the Brae Burn Country Club at 5 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a vehicle stuck in the grass at hole 6.
Police say the driver, a 27-year-old Randolph man, told them he dropped off his friends at 2 a.m. and followed Waze. He said he took a turn too wide and got stuck. Police say the driver showed them the Waze app.
According to police, there was no odor of alcohol, his eyes were not red and he was not impaired.
A tow truck came and was able to remove the vehicle with no damage to the course.
It’s unclear what route the driver took.
