BOSTON — The Red Sox are making moves just before the August 3rd trade deadline, sending pitcher Connelly Early to the Washington Nationals, ESPN’s Jeff Passan Reports.
BREAKING: The Boston Red Sox are trading left-hander Connelly Early to the Washington Nationals for infielder Curtis Mead, sources tell ESPN.

Early, who sits at a 7-5 record, has had a 3.44 ERA in 17 games played this season.
In return for Early, the Nats are sending third baseman Curtis Mead to the Sox
Mead, in his third MLB season, has been having a career year as of late. So far, he’s batting a .259 BA with an .852 OPS and 17 dingers.
